Alix

Licensed Social Worker

PA | NJ

Alix is a licensed social worker in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They obtained their master’s degree in social work from Temple University. Alix has 5 years of experience working with individuals of all ages on behavioral health management and developing emotional regulation skills.

They have worked with adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a direct support professional, supported children and families managing complex behavioral health and trauma histories as a behavioral assistant, and collaborated with adolescents and young adults to build life skills, independence, and self-esteem as an intensive in-community therapist.

During their practicum in graduate school, Alix received training in Non-Directive Child-Centered Play Therapy. This evidence-based intervention is shown to be highly effective in helping youth aged 2-11 reprocess and resolve trauma, as well as promoting more consistent sensory and emotional regulation. They also learned how techniques based in play therapy can benefit clients of all ages through helping individuals to more clearly understand and meet the needs of their inner child. This unique clinical perspective is well-suited for those who are looking to emerge from the survivalist state brought about by past trauma and truly begin to thrive.

Alix takes pride in being a gender expansive and neuroaffirming clinician who views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process- they will work alongside you to unearth personal goals and empower you to go after them.
