Vanessa Woods

Licensed Professional Counselor

Vanessa Woods is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has over a decade of experience in the mental health field. She received her master’s in counseling psychology at Holy Family University and a master’s in Healthcare Compliance from Drexel University.

Prior to being licensed, Vanessa spent much of her time engaged in human services ranging from inpatient, correctional facilities, methadone clinics, school-based programs and creating curriculum for homelessness programs. She enjoys working with couples, families, children, and individuals dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, or any individuals who are feeling stuck.

Marissa

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Marissa is originally from the South Jersey area and has recently moved back to the area from North Carolina after 8 years of changing duty stations as a military spouse. She received her master’s degree in social work from The Catholic University of America.

She has experience facilitating groups and navigating case management/discharge planning on adult inpatient psychiatric units, and most recently has been working as a licensed therapist for an outpatient behavioral health clinic. Marissa is also a fully certified Pilates instructor, with comprehensive mat and equipment training from The Kane School of Core Integration in NYC.

She has been teaching since 2014. Prior to finding her draw to social work, Marissa pursued a professional dance career. Needless to say, Marissa highly values the mind/body connection, and is excited for the opportunity to bring both of her areas of practice under one roof at South Jersey Coping Clinic. Marissa has experience working with adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, patterns of disordered eating, obsessive thoughts, struggles related to the military lifestyle, and adjustment issues. 

She also has experience working specifically with individuals struggling with fertility, prenatal, and postpartum issues. Marissa’s goal is to create and hold a safe space for you to process your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so that you can learn how to not only cope but to create an empowered version of yourself moving forward.

Selena

Licensed Social Worker

Selena has been a bilingual (Spanish) licensed therapist for 14 years and has experience working with diverse populations of both children and adults in various settings in mental health, medical settings and addiction.   

Selena enjoys working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma.  Selena is engaging, and empathetic.  She strives to give you a non-judgmental safe space for you to process your thoughts and emotions while teaching you coping skills to overcome your challenges.  

Marnique

Licensed Social Worker

Marnique is a Licensed Social Worker with over 15 years experience in mental and behavioral health. Marnique received her master’s in social work from Widener University. She has worked in South Jersey as an advocate, Social Worker, in both inpatient and outpatient settings to include adult and children’s partial care, case management and has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Rowan College of Gloucester County. Marnique enjoys working with teens, adults and families with a background working with those experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and anger management, with a history of trauma and coping with addictions, impacted self-image and difficulty maintaining interpersonal relationships.

Brian

Licensed Professional Counselor

Brian has 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, self-esteem, and confidence. He works with his clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and he is so proud of you for getting started!

Sarah

Certified YOGA Instructor

Sarah is a certified Yoga Teacher, Meditation Teacher, Reiki Master Practitioner, Oracle Reader, and the owner of Awakened Spirit LLC. Since Sarah can remember, she knew her life purpose was to help others heal, but she wasn’t sure how. In her early years of childhood, her grandmother Joyce (a Holistic Practitioner and teacher), taught her about many different Holistic Healing modalities.

Hilary

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hilary is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 6 years of experience in the mental health field. She received her masters degree in social work from Rutgers University. 

She is passionate about helping individuals ages 18 and up, with depression, anxiety, grief and stress. She has experience working with older adults, as well as adults who struggle with alcohol use, have a history of trauma and those with mental illness such as bipolar disorder. 

Hilary knows how hard it can be to take the first step making an appointment with a therapist and will do what she can to help you to feel comfortable. She believes that everyone has the potential to make positive changes in their lives. She will work with you at your own pace and gently guide you through the process that will help you to heal and move forward. Kion

Licensed Associate Counselor

Kion is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Seton Hall University having worked with teens and adults in behavioral hospitals and sober living homes. Kion enjoys working with individuals needing assistance with everyday life stressors, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and grief.

She values different cultural backgrounds, spirituality and religions emphasizing the importance of incorporating these key aspects in sessions with clients. Kion is empathetic and passionate about mental health. She seeks to provide a safe space for individuals to explore their emotions and behaviors to learn how to overcome the many adversities you may face.

Jim

Licensed Professional Counselor

Jim Cline is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has over twenty years of experience assisting patients cope with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety and substance abuse disorders. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a master’s degree in Counseling.

Jim grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia but has resided in southern NJ for the past thirty years. He is a husband and proud father of two daughters, ages 26 and 21.

Holly

Licensed Associate Counselor

Holly is a Licensed Associate Counselor with 10 years experience in mental health.  She received her Master’s Degree at Rider University.  Holly has previously worked in crisis community care, with at-risk youth and families, in crime victim services, in high school outreach, and with victims of domestic violence.

More recently, she has focused on ADHD in adults, adolescents, and children.  Her background also includes helping clients with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life skills, adjustment issues, and ADHD.  Holly uses a collaborative, holistic approach to therapy, grounded in evidence-based modalities.  Clients can expect a safe and accepting environment, learning new ways to cope and to express themselves, and a dash of humor.

Brandon

Licensed Professional Counselor

Brandon Freeman has been a licensed associate counselor for the past 4 years, serving the south jersey area. Overall, Brandon has about 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Prior to his licensure Brandon worked with children in foster care and adults with intellectual disabilities. Brandon received his master’s degree at Walden University. Brandon enjoys working with adolescents, individuals, families, and couples dealing with anxiety and depression.

Donell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in diverse clinical settings. He holds a BA in Psychology from Bloomfield College and an MA in Counseling from the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in New York. His professional affiliations include the American Alliance of Christian Counseling (AACC) and the New Jersey Association of Counseling (NJAC).

As a dedicated mental health advocate, Donell serves as the Charter Chairman of SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) in Burlington County and contributes to the International Mental Health Initiative Committee of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Donell’s expertise spans various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, psychotic disorders, and trauma-related issues. He is certified in multiple specialized areas, including Grief Recovery, Suicide Prevention, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Anger Management, OCD Counseling (OCDCC), and Clinical Trauma (CCPT).

With experience in individual, group, and family therapy, Donell has successfully led programs such as a 12-week Anger Management group for adolescent males and a 10-week Illness Management and Recovery group for adults. His approach focuses on educating, empowering, and enriching clients, providing them with essential tools to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. Donell’s mission is to guide each individual towards living a fulfilling and purposeful life, helping them become the best version of themselves.

Alejandra

Alejandra is Bilingual Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rowan University. She has experience in supporting young adults, first-generation students, and children of immigrant parents, helping them navigate life’s challenges. Alejandra specializes in working with individuals facing cultural obstacles, daily stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, and ADHD.

Passionate about embracing multicultural identities, Alejandra creates a safe, welcoming space where clients can feel seen and understood. She recognizes that taking the first steps toward healing can be daunting, but she is dedicated to walking alongside her clients, helping them build confidence and self-assurance.
